Description
This was a first year installation project called 'the potion room', we were given a model box based on harry potter and steampunk which we scaled up to 1/25 for the first time at Rose Bruford. We divided the work between the groups each focusing on a different wall. I chose the wall with the owl and window, because I could explore the texturing on the window to look like it was weathered. The owl was a prop that I made realistic without using items that actually reflect the bird, for example the feathers were made of string and paper. For the wall itself I colour matched the teal to the model then weathered it so that it matched the theme of the room.
This gave us the opportunity as a department to work together as a team, as well as working across departmentally with lighting.
