The vivid dream play by Marina Carr immerses audiences in the mythological story of the Minotaur and Phaedra.
In this role I was a manager of 3 people, we recreated the set from a model box. the set was an all white catwalk style set. The designer wanted an 'out of this world' set which reflected the mythological origins of the story, she also wanted the set to reflect the lighting as well as the feelings of the story. For this set I made; daffodils made of window tint, flats made of bleach canvas with sliding automatic doors in the middle, a 5 degree ramp coming down from the doors, white flooring, as well as two headpieces.
My managerial role included organising my team to stay within schedule and make sure they were all involved on the show. I also had roles doing budgeting, risk assessments and communicating with other departments.
